| In our process, we consider environment preservation measures in every aspect and always try to lower environmental impacts in every possible way. In our plant site, we keep harmonious relations with the local communities and work continuously to raise operational safety factors. |

| Through our measures of environment protection and industrial safety, we are hoping to make the working places safe, comfortable, healthy and energy preserving. Although The USI Kaohsiung Plant is running manufacturing processes with minor environmental influences, we constantly improve the working conditions, reduce unnecessary industrial by-products and cut down energy consumptions in order to move forward to the green production goal. |

Verify the environment protection and working safety issues through well-trained employees. |

Council with our suppliers and contractors to better the environment protection. |

Ensure the safe and healthy working conditions for every USI employee by implant the environment management system in our everyday operation. |

| Management System and Investment |

USI Co. Ltd, had registered for ISO14001 and OHSAS 18001 management systems which keep verifying the constant efforts of us on energy saving, disastrous accidents prevention and environmental impact reductions. |

We eagerly participate the league organized by the Southern Region Inspection Office (Council Of Labor Affairs) to work with regional works and factories on industrial safety improving. |

USI voluntarily join the Taiwan Responsible Care Associate to assist our contractors building their own environment management systems, engage in local community activities and take care of product assurances to make living better. |

In 2009 fiscal year, USI has listed 25 budget items summing up NTD 33 millions to improve environment protection and industrial safety. On the other hand, USI also plan to spend NTD 21 millions in recent years to make the plant’s working condition better. We will never slow our pace on the issues to meet the expectations from the society and our customers. |
